Innocents = Non-participating--physically or ideologically--bystanders who get hit when differing factions hurl crap at each other. "Crap" may be bullets, MEDIA ARTICLES AND PRONOUNCEMENTS THE INTENDED TARGETS COULD NOT RESPOND TO, and good old fashioned, half-dried pig*** thrown with true aim.
