More killings? Gee, think so?

Two Bayan groups in Negros Oriental are predicting more killings of their
leaders and members. Logic would say that if you liberally use the word
"militant" in your self-description that "militant" actions might result -
but no one has ever alleged that lefties, communists, socialists, unionists
and postal workers are either logical or very intelligent. Apparently Bayan
wishes to reserve militant actions for themselves and want their opponents
to not take defensive actions. Well, that sounds good on their banners and
chanted slogans.

Bayan leaders are planning to collect various data and anecdotal stories and
to present them as "fact". Of course no effort will be made to verify any of
the information but the plan is to call it "fact" because that sounds so
nice in the newspapers - it really sounds intelligent and orderly also.

In that same spirit the widow of the latest dead communist seem perplexed at
who might want to gun down her husband who was only plotting to overthrow a
duly established government. She also seemed perplexed, and also betrayed
her deep barrio roots, by saying the slayers were not "ordinary" people
because they "looked and dressed decently".

This is not a noteworthy revelation, however, since Bayan members wish to
overthrow and take away all assets of those who wear shoes not made of old
tires. Dressing decently apparently puts you on Bayan's "hit list".
