I'm sorry, I meant why did JT have to point at the French in his post.
I understand the article to be about a child in school being corrected
for table manners by school authorities, and the parent of the child
not accepting the correction.

Review:
- Quebec school admonishes 7yo from eating with spoon and fork. In any other
democratic country, this would be condemened as discrimination.
- France does not allow Muslims to wear their traditional garb in public
schools. In any other democratic country, this would be condemned as
discrimination.
Quebec and France are both French speaking areas. So there!
