Hmmm. I've always known "angle of repose" as a technical term which
defines the angle from the horizontal at which a bulk material comes
to rest after being dropped vertically.
There are even published tables giving the angle of repose for damn
near any bulk material having commercial value and which are essential
in designing any bulk materials handling system.
