NTT DoCoMo, the world?s leading mobile communications company, will be
investing around $300 million in Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co.
(PLDT) this year. While 10 Taiwanese bicycle makers are set to invest
anywhere from $15 million to $30 million in Subic.

Fiscal environment in the country is improving while the peso is
continuously strengthening. For the first few months P35 billion will be
immediately utilized for the construction of farm-to-market roads and
other infrastructures. The issuance of permits and other procedures for
businesses are improving immensely. With all these improvements,
investors becomes more certain that it's safe to invest their money in the
Philippines.
