High OFW Remittances Means No Jobs Available In The Philippines

Prof. Benito Lim of the Ateneo made a good observation with regards to
the high dollar remittances from our OFWs.
Actually GMA should not be glad with regards to this statistics datum.
It only means that she is not able to generate the local employment
that she said she would in her SONA speech.
Filipinos would rather stay here than work abroad if they have the
choice. If they cannot find a decent means of living here then they go
to work in other countries.
If they prefer to work in Iraq illegally than to work here then there
must be something very wrong with our economic policy.
