You know, La Sallites are actually fine. When they throw fried
chickens at the Ateneans, that's actually okay. Lots can be said about
the impression their students make. The classic "Thanks the Lord" Jun
Limpot is an example. (Well can you blame the poor Atenean for picking
on him for this, considering how he regularly embarrassed the Blue
Eagles?) Friend of mine (a Lasallite) described how someone brought an
Ateneo jacket at the gym and left it on the seat. When he came back
for it, it was... well.. violated. :-) That was OK too.

But the UP people.... (and I say this with all the love for the UP
alumni in the group)... they seem to have an inexplicable animosity for
Ateneans. I was once at a "Maskipaps" concert, and witnessed an
Atenean get boooed on the stage when he was introduced. What's up with
that.

I hang out with my UP friends a lot then. And when I introduce myself
as an atenean, its like the entire population stops, turns, and looks.
WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!

I was interviewed then as part of my entrance qualification at UP Law.
A member of the UP Student government was part of the panel. And in
his briefing, he was going on on how much better UP students are than
Ateneans (I didn't say I was an Atenean yet). So on and so forth...
WHATHEHECKISUPWITHTHAT!

I guess the La Salle antics were OK because it was expected of them.
The parrots for some reason, want to join the fray?

Oh, and the Ateneans. Well they are the most humble people in the
world, and they're damn proud of it. :-)
