Well only my personel opinion on taste. I'm considering retiring in the
PI at the end of my military career.

When I see the Philippino movie stars I do say the words 'pretty' or
'very nice' but usually with a yawn.

When I see the darker skinned, usually shorter, and from what I've
read, potrayed as the peasant girl/working in the field person, I go
WOW. I prefer the darker skin, the typical philippino movie star looks
to european and does nothing for me.

Just my opinion, and btw I'm white so guess that would make me the
typical 'kano' with the ugly girl. Not ugly to me, and thats all that
matters.
