the philippine debt is the number 1 , 2 , 3 threat to the national
security of the philippines. terrorists can kill you but the debt
will kill you slowly and your kids and their kids too .
(UPDATE) TERRORISM has replaced the communist insurgency as the top
threat to national security, Interior Secretary Angelo Reyes said
Tuesday.
In the wake of the suicide bombing in Bali, Indonesia over the weekend
which killed at least 19 people, Reyes said terrorism poses a "clear
and present danger" to the Philippines.
"The threats to the republic would be, number one, terrorism. [The
danger] is clear and present. We've seen that many times in the
Philippines," Reyes told a news conference in Camp Crame police general
headquarters.
"We have reports that they [terrorists] are probably here so there is a
clear and present danger of [a] terrorist attack," he added.
He said the police and military were under instructions to carry out
preemptive measures, such as intensified patrols and road checkpoints.
