am both. Have been on my own once or twice, made money, went bankrupt,
made money again, I rebuilt myself so many times, I don't know what to
call myself.
I own a restaurant at nineteen, owned a screen printing shop at 25 a
computer parts and service dealership when it was profitable.
Now, I do something else, something closer to my heart, and also work
for an employer...
Now tell me your know how in this life's great adventure, tell me
something I don't know.
There is really something wrong with someone who can't manage his own
company. You went into 3 or 4 different company that went caput! and
now you are back to being an employee...I think thereason why your
business ventures don't succeed is because you are still thinking as an
employee. your line of reasoning is very similar to a union member.
(makibaka..huwag matakot...) :-)
you think that life is so unfair for those with a contractual job. you
never think that if the worker is a good one then he will be made a
permanent one even in less than 6 months. business always need workers.
it is the skilled and dependable one that are made permanent not the
slackers.
that my friend will never succeed. your second business should be
better than the first and so on...
I started my own company when I was 21 (right out of college)...made do
with 3 employee...we had no sss, philhealth, bir..etc...because it was
our first job. no problems with my people. closed shop after 3 years,
now i am running a similar business from the first but with 30
people...my first 3 employee are still with me...no one is forcing them
to work with me.
now our records are in order - sss, philhealth, bir, city hall,
etc...but i still hire contractual people.
why?
because there is a need for it. i do not control the market. the market
controls me. if the demands goes up i get additional temps. if the
demands go down i don't hire temps.
that is business sense.
