'Taylor, a Londoner who was born in 1964, has a varied and busy career
as a conductor, lecturer, festival organiser (last year he directed a
festival of British music in St Petersburg) as well as managing his
own composing schedules. His latest work, "In Dead Hours of Night", is
a setting of three poems from the Portuguese for tenor James Gilchrist
and the Allegri Quartet, presented as part of the Llanfylin Festival
in July.' - Patric Standford, whose illustrated CD review is featured
