Latin-3 was ideal in the 90's, but nowadays the operating systems have
native support for Esperanto (in the form of Unicode) and you shouldn't
need any special Esperanto fonts.

Your problem, then, is those documents you already have in Latin-3. You
will need a way to convert them into native Unicode. I don't know what
the handiest way to accomplish that is in Windows XP or your word
processor.

For converting plain text files from Latin 3 to Unicode, try Simredo:

I'm guessing you should be able to use the normal "replace"
function: copy and paste the Latin-3 letter (which probably has a weird
shape) into the replace dialog and type in the replacement letter
directly.

What's remaining is a way to type Esperanto letters directly. I have
heard people have been successfully using the program "Ek" for that
purpose on Windows.
