I thank you all in advance and apologize that
this posting is not in Esperanto.
I am currently researching Esperanto as a
classroom project for my German course.
My fellow students are expressing a great
deal of interest in the topic of Esperanto,
however, I keep running into the same
obstacle/question:
"It's been over 100 years, why hasn't something
so simple and so useful been more universally
adopted?"
There is no financial incentive to learn Esperanto.
Also, Esperanto is relatively simple, when compared
with national languages, but it's still a language which
takes effort to learn. It's not 'so simple'.
You cannot begin to imagine how interesting
I would find your responses to this question.
Again, thank you in advance,
