Journalist deaths 'reach record level' in 2009Unlike the case of US allies, Colombia and Mexico, not one journalist
was killed in Cuba.
Nope, for being people that want to exercise their freedom of speech..
Try and get some better sources than the secret police and the Cuban
castro press, Dan.
The Cuban government,
MDR
> Wayne Smith
quote please, and not from some apologists book.
There is nothing wrong with the book. It as published ten years ago,
and not a word of retraction from any of those interviewed. And as I
have often told you, you can write to Smith yourself to confirm this
quote, as I did. You know how to contact him. What seems to be the
problem, Mr. Lobbyist? Once bitten, twice shy???? (Hee, hee, hee!)
Besides, Smith is only confirming what you yourself posted here some
time ago:
"To be able to function they [Cuban dissidents] need aid...They can
only function with international help... The US aid gives them the
means to survive."
http://groups.google.ca/group/soc.culture.cuba/msg/3b60f00005050898?h
and even YOU yourself(snip)
What PL snipped for all too obvious reasons:
The Cuban government, Wayne Smith and even YOU yourself all seem to
agree that these di$$ident groups would not even exist without
foreign
bankrolling. They can get money and equipment all the way from Miami
or Washington, but they can't raise money in their own neighbourhoods
and towns. What does that tell you?
an exposed lie.
Well, you have certainly been repeatedly exposed as a liar here, but
the point is, even you seem to know that these di$$ident groups of
yours would no even exist without foreign bankrolling. Again, you
wrote:

means to survive."
http://groups.google.ca/group/soc.culture.cuba/msg/3b60f00005050898?h
If I have somehow mistaken your meaning, please clarify.
BTW, I see you snipped and ran away in terror from the above question:
If these di$$idents of yours can get money and equipment all the way
from Miami or Washington, why can't they raise money in their own
neighbourhoods and towns? Care to comment?
Even foreign journalists admit they can't report freely on Cuba:
[snip]
I really doubt this.
(snip)
What PL snipped and refuses to address:
I really doubt this. A few weeks ago, capitalist media lackeys in
Cuba
were falling over themselves reporting about the supposed beating of
a
famous blogger by Cuban policemen. She said, among other things, that
she was repeatedly punched in the face. And yet there was not a mark
on her face -- none the facial cuts, bruises and swelling you would
expect from such an attack. See:
"Dissidents make noise -- oops, news, Saul Landau"
http://groups.google.com/group/soc.culture.cuba/msg/d51631a58d48cf7a?...
"Blogger busted by own propaganda video" at
http://groups.google.com/group/soc.culture.cuba/msg/ec732adab1e214c6
An experienced journalist would know that they she was lying, but
most
reported her story as truth without any qualifications. None pointed
out the obvious lack of physical evidence. To my knowledge, none of
these "journalists" were deported as a result. It makes you wonder
what they would have to do to get deported! What kind of libelous
whopper would it take?
Confirmed by various correspondents.
It seems they will "confirm" just about anything. Now address the
issue here -- if you can.
