[snip and LIE ]
The ends are the ONLY thing that can justify the means, idiot! What is
your point?
Well Comrade that you would say that the "ends justify the means" isn't
a surprise. That you claim that they are the ONLY thing that justify the
means also is not a surprise. It doesn't ever occur to you that there are
many "means" that NO "ends" can ever justify. After all, Hitler had some
"ends" that sounded equally noble when one suspended disbelief. No -
Comrade - the ends do NOT always justify the means. There are some "MEANS"
that NO "ends" could ever possibly justify. Murder and repression are high
on that particular chart. YOU may eagerly accept them as necessary. So did
Hitler, Tojo, Pol Pot and many other despots who saw their own "ends" as
justifying any means no matter how brutal. Saddam Hussein claimed to have
noble ends.
You EAGERLY accept deprivation of human rights as FULLY JUSTIFIED
because of some claimed "ends" which YOU see as noble. I am sorry, Dano,
they are NOT. Every petty thug in world history has claimed nobility for
their misdeeds. In fact most serial killers have a twisted logic
rationalizing their brutality as noble. The REAL question is looking at
those means and testing them on their own - apart from your BULLSHIT claims
of ends you say justify them. It's really quite simple Danny. The test is
very simple. Look at those MEANS you eagerly justify. Would you as
enthusiastically support them if the government using them were a fascist
right wing government? You see, Danny, if your answer is NO, then the means
are WRONG no matter who tries to "rationalize" them. It is no more
complicated than that. Wrong is wrong. There are, in reality, NO "ends" that
can justify such means!
