The facts remain That the BTTR had in the past had violated Cuban
airspace, they ignored all warnings ( FAA, Mr. Roque, their mothers,
etc). They filed a false flight plan. They defied Cuban air traffic
controllers warnings and authorities. The recent immigration agreement
with the Clinton administration had pretty much ended the rafters and
the alledge purpose of the BTTR missions.
Basulto was on Miami TV boasting that they had flown over Habana and
that Cuban air defense was not able to stop them.
Cuba claims they were violating their air space and were downed
over their lawful jurisdicion.
