New York, NY (AHN) - NBC's "Today" show will be broadcasting live from Cuba on Tuesday with stories on the country's political future and how it's been affected by the U.S. embargo. It took 18 months before arrangements were completed so host Matt Lauer and the rest of his team could make the trip.
AP reports Jim Bell, the executive producer of "Today," as saying, "It's always timely to go to Cuba. There's always news there. Being there is news in itself."
However, Bell said it's not expected that "Today" will get an interview with Fidel Castro, who hasn't been seen publicly in 10 months.
