, and secondly do NOT excuse shooting down SMALL UNARMED CIVILIAN
AIRCRAFT. By ALL data available the
plane was show down in INTERNATIONAL AIR SPACE.

Not according to transcripts of radio transmissions that could be
found at the BTR website.

Comrade Christensen this is one more of your BALD FACED LIES! First
of
all the transcripts on the BTR site show that not only was the plane over
international waters,

Look up the transcripts from the BTR website and prove me wrong. (I
think you originally posted them here.) Basulto, the flight leader
(and founder of BTR), announced to the Havana air traffic control
center that he was 12 miles from Havana. That would put him in within
the internationally recoginzed 12-mile limit of Cuban territory.
Immediately after that, they encountered the Cuban jets. You figure it
out, Kennykins.

I don't have to look them up, I HAVE them on my machine. Hey DIP***
being 12 miles FROM is not "WELL WITHIN" any 12 mile limit, BONEHEAD!
ALL of the RADAR you know that FUNNY stuff that actually measures distances
accurately? ALL of the RADAR put the plane well OUTSIDE the limit.
For 99.999999999999999999999% of the world they claim 3 miles. CUBA claims
more.

Dannkins Christensen I love your SCREWY *** I just LOVE IT!

"Article 1 of the Geneva Convention of 1958 on the "high seas" states: "The
term 'high seas' means all parts of the sea that are not included in the
territorial sea or in the internal waters of a state." Article 2 states:
"The high seas being open to all nations, no state may validly purport to
subject any part of them to its sovereignty." The sovereignty of a state
extends to the airspace above the territorial sea as well as to the sea
floor and the subsoil beneath it."
"The territorial limits extend to whatever that particular country says they
do. The US claims 3 nautical miles. Most Caribbean island nations claim 3-12
miles although there are exceptions. The territorial limits of certain
Caribbean nations and other island nations whose area consists of many small
islands often overlap creating a larger territorial area than one would
assume. "

Cuba has claimed 50 MILES at times. Of course the rest of the world
laughs as Havana rants on that one. We give Cuba the 12 miles. The plane
notified Havana Tower that it was "approaching" the 12 mile limit. NOTE -
Mr. Buttwipe that there was no "warning" from Havana Tower to "stay out of
our airspace." The radio contact was cordial. NO warning (AS REQUIRED BY
INTERNATIONAL LAW) to clear any airspace. Just TWO missiles shot at an itty
bitty UNARMED Cessna! WOW! How MACHO! Bet the MiGs would have stayed on the
ground had there been a patrolling F-15 out there.
