I can only speculate,after all i was in Cuba during those years and their
music was prohibited under pain of imprisionament for "ideological
diversionism".
My guess is to gain alliances with the useful liberal fools of occident he
reversed his policies to acommodate the modern political landscape,dominated
by those fools.

A friend of mine recently told me that there was a statue of John
Lennon sitting on a bench somewhere in Cuba. He also said that Mr.
Castro had commisioned this art.
Is this true and does anyone know the motivation behind the commision?
