CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — A Long Island man convicted of helping his
wife keep two Indonesian housekeepers as virtual slaves was sentenced
on Friday to three years and four months in prison, ending a trial
that shed light on the often little-seen exploitation and abuse of
domestic workers.

Well, I guess the whole CCP leadership will have to face trial then
for keeping the People of China enslaved!!!!

While the Chinese people are certainly subject to restrictions that
many people in the US and other countries (including pretty much
anyone who posts on this NG) would find quite unacceptable, I wouldn't
call them slaves. Things have improved in China quite a bit over the
past few decades and as their country evolves I expect that things
will continue to improve. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was
Beijing!
