Where the issue is over religion the DL has absolute control. His western
supporters cannot distinguish that there are dissenting versions of lamaism.

The dissenters won't get any press or independent donations and funding.

1. Silly really.

2. PaPaPeng would have us believe that the Chinese under the CCP are
relatively free, can report their disagreements with the party, start groups
independent of the CCP, etc.

We know that is nonsense.

Now he wants us to believe that the DL has more power over Tibetans than the
CCP does. He must think we are idiots.

3. The DL lives in India (a free country). His power over Tibetans in Tibet
is ZERO. Even if they wanted to obey his instructions, it is difficult for
them to communicate with him to find out what they are.

4. Another major Lama in Tibet was chosen by the CCP and does what they tell
him to do. Tibetans can and do choose to follow the CCP Lama.

5. Tibetans living outside of China (say, in America) can ignore his
instructions or obey them as they wish. He has no power at all to coerce them
to do anything.
