More Baroque Music in Electronic Sounds.
By José Fajardo.
He was recently released a new alternative music CDs, is a production
of baroque music (Bach preludes and fugues), this time in the
interpretation of Jesus Lopez artist who performs these works with
sonorities obtained with electronic devices known as Moog
synthesizers. The idea of using innovative instruments is not as new,
it was Mozart who began the tradition of interpreting old scores with
new and different tools. Subsequently, other musicians, in
collaboration with inventors of new machines of the electronic age,
have continued this pattern. Remember the famous performances of
Walter Carlos of the 60's: Swich on Bach, and other similar products
from other artists. In this new production by J. Lopez, inspired by
the old style Moog, we can hear works like the Fantasy in G (organ),
Preludio con fughetta, Prelude and fugue nº XIV (of The Well Tempered
Clavier) and others.
