Of course, the above does not mean China did not fight wars. They did
and
they will do that. But they don't go out to fight war for terroritory
or for self-
aggrandizement.
Tibet, threats to Taiwan.
You are dreaming.
Nah. You are seeing things. Both Taiwan and Tibet was recognized as
part of China long times ago.
It's not that simple, and you know it. But you refuse to admit it. You
repeat yourself over and over again, or quote some long article from
the Western press. One thing you don't do, ever, is make a good case
for your assertions.
Most history books have been doctored, so the winner was the good guy.
If you know more about Chinese history and how the bronze incriptions
were doctored, please inform.
More avoidance of the topic. Are you implying that the history books
in China are all on the up and up, no distortion at all? Riiiight.
Once again, you pretend you are advancing discussion but you are not.
End of story.
Alright, Mr. Know-All ! Prove that the history books you read were not
doctored, and that everything you quote is the truth and nothing but
the truth.
Sigh. You are getting defensive. LT Lee challenged the assertion that
Chinese history books are distorted. He is wrong. They are distorted.
I didn't say other history books *weren't* distorted. I hope you are
smart enough to understand the difference.
You should proof read that.
If you want to defend China that is fine. But I caution against
defending LT Lee. His defense of China is often irrational and
deceptive.
I am Chinese. Of course I defend my Motherland. With my life, if
necessary.
If you are in your twenties or younger, you may very well get your
chance to prove your love for the "Motherland". I think now is an
excellent chance to prove your love of your Motherland by returning to
China instead of living in New York or any part of the United States.
I think there is a possibility that there will be war between China
and the U.S. within the next 50 years.
I have to finish my studies first, and of course I will return to
China. The USA and China will never go to war against each other.
Neither side has anything to gain, but has everything to lose. I
believe that both countries are run by people who have the wisdom of
seeing this, and in 50 years' time, both countries will have leaders
that will be able to solve international problems in cooperation with
each other, and by then the Taiwan issue will have been solved by
unification.
Taiwan was, is, and will always be, a part of China.
Talk is cheap. What does that actually mean? What do you think of the
fact that there are 2 governments, both of which have been in power
for > 50 years? They are 2 separate entities. Have you ever been to
Taiwan? I have been there many times. Would you die just so the PRC
could control my friends on Taiwan? If so, why?
Like you said, "Talk is cheap". So far you are merely mouthing the
words that your friends in Taiwan have said to you.
More incorrect assumptions. How could you know?
The Taiwan
government has existed only through the grace of the USA, which wanted
to contain Communism in the beginning of the 50's. Taiwan is not even
recognized by the U.N. anymore, and only a handful of countries even
have a "Taiwanese Embassy".
Now you sound like you are mouthing the official line. Even though
that is all true, Taiwan is still a real entity which exists separate
from China and which interacts with the world independently form
China.
Taiwan is a part of China. The people in
Taiwan are Chinese, and the only thing stopping our unification is the
death threat that had been drummed into the people in Taiwan the way
the Muslims gain power over their people.
It is not that simple.
No I have never been in
Taiwan.
It is a flourishing Chinese society. It is different from China so
unification couldn't just be done like some kind of annexation.
Have you been in China?
Yes.
Would you not give your life to
protect and defend your country ?
It depends.
And be careful; having a real conversation in English is not so easy.
I can not have a real conversation in Mandarin but can you have one in
English?
Like I said, "Be my guest - take a shot"
I am trying.
