Haha, you dont know much about Sun Yat Sen's Three Principles, do
you? Hey, I am from Taiwan so I probably know it much better than
anyone else in this newsgroup. Yes, "Nationalism, Democracy, and the
People's Livelyhood" is his ultimate goal but he also said they should
be implemented thru 3 phases, the first phase is the military rule.
Isnt it like current CCP rule or USA's rule some years ago, ie, no
voting right for African Americans or racial segregation etc? You
see, China and the USA all have follow Sun Yat Sen's Three
Principles. Haha!

Okay tibet has been under military rule for 50 years and there has
been very few cases of organized insurrection. What is the
justification for continued military rule only to supress NATIONALISM,
the expression of popular content. Regarding DEMOCRACY the tibetans
are a minority in the provencial and local electorate except its not a
electorate cadres are appointed, and people are jailed for expressing
their views as it is in the rest of china. Now let'S TALK LIVELYHOOD.
It is a reasonable estimate to conclude that a least 500 million
chinese live in poverty and squalid conditions where corrupt cadres
allow the poor to be exploited in sweatshop slave labor conditions
like in the brickmaking factories, apparel industry etc.,...
have a nice day

As for Tibetans, no, they dont need casinos since they can be private
business owners. You should go to Beijing to visit Tibetan
restaurants owned by Tibetans or Lhasa to see how many Tibetan-owned
stores there insteading of making up the stories here. Agree?

Listen my friend you could benefit by reading Sun Yat Sen's Tongmeng
Hui. He would not Support a totalitarian china today under the Chinese
communist party that isn't even communist. Read what he says about his
three principles: Nationalism, Democracy, and the People's Livelyhood.

In regards to casinos why do they have casinos in china at Henan
island. That's were all the fat corrupt CCP cadres go to vacation.
Here in america casinos were banned for a long time except in Nevada.
However california and some other states passed state ballot
intiatives to allow for Indian gaming. The federal government agreed
so long as they could police it. The reason many voted for it was
because people believed that this would help the Native Americans to
emerge from poverty and it would constitute a form of reperations to
them for the wrongs of the past 200 years. Also US authorizes it under
limited sovereignty rights for native american reservations.

China could easily do the same. Believe me I know you chinese like to
gamble. Did I mention Deng Xiaoping was a world champion cribbage
player. So are you good at majong.

This would help the Tibetans to get out of poverty.
Cheers!

The majority of those in poverty in Tibet are Tibetans. The economy is
dominated by Han chinese. Han are not about to share their wealth with
Tibetans. How has socialist revolution benefitted Tibet over the last
50 years since today the majority of tibetans are still in poverty. I
hope your reply doesn't say that they are two stupid to engage in
commerce. Han has a monopoly of power that's why tibetans are
exploited. Hey why doesn't the PRC become more hypocritical like us
and give the tibetans casinos and free education.

situation. Then how can he expect CCP do something about Tibet
situation? Isnt he in the same league as CCP *in this respect*?
Haha! Sigh, talking about hypocrisy, it's so easy to find living
example every day in this newsgroup. Haha!

True, so now we have two countries living in hypocrisy. Neither wishes
to change because each claim that a hypocrite cant declare another a
hypocrite since he himself is one. Tibetans have not benefited under
chinese rule. However, native americans today are allowed to own
casinos and they get free scholarships to universities. Should not
china reciprocate to the same hypocritical level of the US and grant
the tibetans the same privileges since they are native to that region
and han are not.

Ha, so everyone's ancestors including yours carried the stain.
Frankly, without slaugthering or slavery, there is no today's USA and
China. Haha! And the USA did not do anything about their crimes of
the past, so in what position you can ask China do something about it,
huh??? and on Tibet issue, at least China did not slaughter Tibetans
near extinction like the US did to native Americans so there is still
a difference!!! Haha!

So when you Tom Jigme Wheat and Bill Moore ask your government to
apologize and return stolen lands back to native Americans and
apologize and compensate African Americans for American slavery, then
you folks can ask China to do something about Tibet,

The only point being made is that what's happening in Tibet is bad.
This isn't a game of "who's more wrong". It's about not liking the
fact that Tibetans are repressed and tortured *right now*.. We can't do
much about it but it's obviously a bad thing. And it's certainly not
justified by saying "Hey, what about American repression of blacks and/
or Indians?" That's a complete red herring which has no relation to
the situation.

This is a nuanced discussion, but it's not *that* nuanced, for crying
out loud. How can you be so obtuse?

Oh BTW, in the 90s, there's proposal to make an official apology to
African Americans for American slavery, but US Congres rejected the
proposal, ha, that's your USA!!!

What you don't seem capable of understanding is that it's your USA as
well. Being a non-citizen longtime resident living on the same land we
are makes you as culpable as the rest of us.

Human rights, sure, that only
applies to US's "potential enemy" but not to US's allies including
Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc. Hypocrisy!

So say whatever you want and in the end, the USA and China are not
much difference in this respect!!! Haha!

Exactly this is the CCP rationale in a nutshell. So because america
almost destroyed the native americans in the past means that today the
us has no right to criticise the ccp's brutal imperialist repression
against tibetans. Obviously Two wrongs dont make a right.

Crime of the past? So what will you and Tom Jigme Wheat do about your
ancestors' crime? Nothing, right? Haha!

Your ancestors shall also carry the stain of the rape of shangrila

How easily you rationalize. It is the crimes of the past that help you
to enjoy life in NYC as you have for all these years. It doesn't
matter what color your skin is or what your nationality is. You are as
culpable as the white person sitting next to you. It's true.

Han Chinese in Tibet just like you white people in the states, same thing!

Not yet. Right now the repression of the Tibetans is ongoing. Once
that happens then you will be right. It was wrong when the Europeans
did it centuries ago and it is wrong that the PRC is doing it now.
