China has cracked donw on a lot of things regularly.
If you don't hear something like X, it does not mean X does not exist
or does
not occur. It only menas the American media is not reporting X.
What are some newsworthy examples of things that China has cracked
down on but were not reported by the American press?
I had written about this before. If you are interested, you can read
my
previous post on America's dumbing down press.
And regarding these many things that were not reported by the American
press, where were they reported?
Well its an old American tradition. Go bash someone whenever you
need some diversion form the bad news back home. In this case the
furor will die down once the summer vacation is near over and there is
a need for school supplies, all of them Made in China. Or when there
is a hamburger disease scare (E. coli poisoning from undercooked beef
patties), from salad veggies or something.
One good outcome though. There will be more oversight on food
products in China and in America. That's a pretty good outcome.
