I was watching a video-tape re-play of the movie "Ben Hur" when this
thought came to my mind. As we all know today that Osama Bin Laden
has a lot of followers that's willing to die for his cause. If Bin
Laden can live to be a ripe old age, then die, his followers would
probably continue his revolutionary activities for a long time to
come.
What do you people think of the probability or the possibility that in
a couple of hundred years, there will be a religion base on the
teaching of Osama Bin Laden?
Bin Laden's work is already done and his place in history assured. He
does not need to be alive to inspire Muslim radicals to strike back at
their tormentors. Bin Laden will be remembered as a warrior of Islam
not as a religious figure.
Religious or not, he has a lot of followers. Followers had the
tendency to worship their master like a god. And Osama Bin Laden is
near godlike for many of his followers.
Bin Laden did not teach anything.
He certainly does teach revolutionary anti-American ideas.
He has
no overarching philosophy that will lead Muslims to new ground.
His new ground rule is to destroy America. He has rallied the Muslim
extremists to come together to show force against America. That is
very new ground.
He
was the embodiment of Muslim grievances that already exists long
before he came onto the scene.
He's the man that give them meaning to their lives, to stand out for
them, a voice to be heard around the world.
The difference was that he had the
money to do something about it.
He's not spending his money. He has a lot of supporters, rich and not
so rich suppporters around the world. Many are invisible.
It only took $250,000 or $300,000 for
that attack. Never has so much been achieved on so little.
Bin Laden's act was to provide financing for the Egyptian-Saudi group
to carry out an outrageous act. That act was to provide financing to
attack the very symbols of American capitalism The World Trade Center
Twin Towers, the symbol of American imperial power The Pentagon and
god forbid, the very head of the whole system The White House. We
will never know about the last target since the fourth team crashed
into a Pennsylvania field. This single attack changed the history of
the world and will be the defining event for our times. Every
disaffected Muslim who hates Americans and her proxies knows what can
be done and what the political and military results will be. Bush is
right. They will follow the Americans back to America
Osama Bin Laden is George Bush's worst nightmare during his years in
office.
