With such a huge foreign reserves, China will be able to feed itself.
If own production is not enough, there is world market to buy from.

As long as there is GDP growth and more reserves, Chinese in China will
not be in hunger.

The issue is not about not getting enough to eat. The most issue is
about food security. Its about China not needing to bring more land
into cultivation and can therefore maintain whatever environment and
ecological balance she has now. The next inportant issue is world
food prices cannot be manipulated to pressure China. Finally should
there be a war China will not be subject to blackmail by a food
embargo.
