Why? Legitimacy is not power.
Power is not transferred until the people or individual have decided to

up their power. You could have see it everyday in Santa Barbara or
anywhere.
The signs along the highway read 55, 65. or whatever. To some drivers,

signs are enough reasons for them to give up their power to decide what
should
be the proper speed. To many others drivers, they decide to retain
their power
and drive at whatever speed they like.

The social contract .....

Is the crown jewel of Western Enlightenment. Eminent figures
responsible for the Western intellectual prowess had, at length,
discussed the above subject matters that, undoubtedly, are the
beneficient concerns the esteemed netter.

Legitimacy, indeed, is not power ....
