Since all these
herbs are in their native form it is impossible to fake them,
mis-prescribe or to overdose. One look and even the most uneducated
peasant knows what he or she is getting because that's something
everyone had used since time immemorial. Plus in China everyone knows
everyone and there is nowhere for a quack to stay in business for
long.
I strongly disagree with the above that the peasants know what they are
getting. I would venture to say even the educated have no idea of what
they are and for what purpose. With so many items to fill per
prescription and the speed they measure, I would say even if they miss
an item or two, no one would know, and wouldn't make any difference. I
have never seen any of those people filling the prescription consult a
book for measurement or count the number of items. As for quacks
staying in business, I say they are all quacks. There are no
creditials required, no need of proof of training in the field they are
practicing.
