100% agreed! The 'foreign' teachers program, as it is being conducted
across Asia and undertaken by native speakers whose ESL training barely
lasts over 3 months, is most suited for kids. For adults, the best
kind of teachers to be used is teachers who have a good command of both
English and the local language. The use of their first language can
enable the students to appreciate context of a much high intellectual
level as opposed to staying at the pedestrial, day to day conversation
such as 'hello... how are you...have you had your dinner yet/..."
