No touching water for a month after giving birth?
Hi,
My Chinese girl friend tells me that when she has a baby she shouldn't
touch water for a month afterwards - what's the reason for this? As an
Englishman this seems strange to me; is this something I should accept
or should I be looking to persuade her this isn't necessary or a good
thing? We live in England if that's relevant. She also expects my
Mother to live with us for a month to look after the baby but I can't
see that happening!
Thanks,
TC
