To what Chinese people?
Basically, the problem of the writer of the Toronto Star article can be
summaried by the following lament. "Canadian commentators had next to
nothing to say."

Whose problem is that?

Will any PRC policy work if the government, including top leaderships,
do not communicate and work with the people directly or indirectly?
Does China look like a country running on auto-pilot for the last three
years? If not, does it matter that Hu give interview to who know whom.

However, the article is not a bad pretext to ask for an interview.
(Must be one the 36 tricks: Throw a stone to ask for the avenue) If so,
good luck.
