Re: Pin Yin anybody ?

Xie4 Xie4.

Hi Charles

Silly idea. I will post in chinese characters instead. Will take longer because I need to use PenPower (very slow process). There are just too many possible meanings using PinYin.

Surely you can post Chinese characters on an this Chinese newsgroup ???
Where is the FAQ for this newsgroup ? I want to see for myself that this is an English only newsgroup.

A good idea might be to just swamp the China bashers with Chinese - I bet few of them have even bothered to learn it. The English-speaking bashers do just the same on the Celtic newsgroups (swamp them with English posts I mean - any topic will do - same happens with French on the Breton newsgroup). The only way is to beat them at their own game. Ignore their inane stupid posts and jus post away in your language and don't get distracted by them.

Understand exactly what you're saying.

Best Regards

Bob Jones

Is there anybody on this newsgroup willing to post in Pin Yin with me ?

Give it a try. My pinyin is terrible compare to zuyin:

"zu ni hao yun. ze li hen dou ren do se lao mei, hen dou do hen3 hen4
zong guo. ni yao zao ren liao tien ze bu se hao di fan. diao tou gan
kwai pao (bu yao yun zo de, pao)."

Transation:
"I wish you luck. There're a lot of Americans here, and many hate
China. If you are looking for conversation this isn't the place. Turn
around and run (don't walk, run)."

Seriousely, try alt.chinese.text. Not that Chinese are not allowed to
view/post in SCC, just that this is an English language group and it
attracts a lot of China bashers.
