The Welsh Icons website at http://www.welshicons.org.uk was originally
setup up to list 100 things about Wales. In the last 18 months we have
been overwhelmed by suggestions and the site now runs to nearly 3,000
pages. It is used as an educational resource by many schools and
colleges and receives over 400, 000 hits a month.

What started out as a simple 'who's your favourite Welsh person/place/
food?' type site has now evolved into an an encyclopaedia of Wales and
all things Welsh - what we now call the Cymrupedia.

Please have a look at the site, and if you like what you see please
email this email to you friends.

We are DESPERATE for funding and the site will have to shut down at
the end of this month if no funding or sponsorship becomes available.
