project. It's just that we are looking to help out a very prestigious
company here in the northwest - Redmond, WA specifically. We are

Here is the Job Description:

Catalan speaking individuals to Test Proofing Software

These candidates will create test data and conduct tests on various
proofing assistance features for a Natural Language Group in Redmond,
Washington.

We are interested in interviewing people who are fluent or are
near-native fluent in the following language: Catalan.

As long as you know how to speak Catalan, this team will teach you what
you need to know as far as testing the products. Please send in your

Primary Responsibilities includes:

Proofing the software based on instructions given.
Performing various kinds of linguistic tests and generating test
reports.
Logging linguistic bugs and tracking regression of the products and
technology.
Please Note: The length of these assignments will be dependent upon the
project for each language - approx 20 weeks.

Job Requirements for these Bilingual positions include:

Language proficiency in the Catalan language is required for these
positions (native or near native level).
Skills in detailed analysis of language, including knowledge of basic
linguistic terms for parts of speech and morphological and grammatical
phenomena.
Editorial skills for written text, including detailed knowledge of
spelling and punctuation standards for that particular language.
The candidates will be interviewed by the team in both English and the
specific language. The interview will focus on hands-on knowledge of
language skills, problem solving, general knowledge and basic computer
skills.
Bachelor's degree in selected language Linguistics or related field, or
equivalent work experience/training required.
General investigative and problem solving skills and ability to track
details.
Soft Skills: Willingness and ability to work as part of a team to
ensure consistency and quality of work. In this position, you must be
able to be proactive and a self starter.
