Travel To Aruba Suspended

It appears as though discussions have not covered the primary concern of many people with thoughts of travel to Aruba. I think most people should know that Americans can be subjected to crimes as tourists, just like any other countrymen can.
What appears to have occurred in Aruba is that not only the crime was subjected to a cover up, but the suspected guilty individuals were shielded by high level officials in Aruba. As a matter of fact it appears those that were suspected were family members or friends of the upper crust of the government.
Virtually crime free, Aruba!, is this true. Based on the apparent cover up attempts in this case, I highly doubt that Aruba,s crime rate is any different than the rest of the islands in the area. And a good possibility it could be much higher, considering that the primary function in an investigation as has been observer is to wash and delay the evidence and investigation.
We will no longer be scheduling visits to Aruba.
