PA cabinet urges EU to rethink its stand, open new dialogue with the
Palestinians

Gaza - PA premier, Ismail Haneyya, affirmed Tuesday that funds of the PA
government were already available at the Arab League (AL), and that his
government was mulling means to bring it in and solve the PA employees
dilemma, urging the EU to rethink its negative stand against the PA elected
government, and to turn a new page in dealing with it.

Haneyya called on the EU to come forward and negotiate with his government
in order to agree on an accepted formula for peace and security in the
region, asserting that his government was determined to impose law and order
in the PA lands.

The premier's remarks were uttered during his cabinet's fourth session in
Gaza and Ramallah cities via the video conference link. A number of issues
were discussed during the cabinet session, including the latest steps taken
by the Israeli occupation government to divide the West Bank into three
separated cantons, lawlessness in the PA lands, and the question of
Jerusalem among other crucial issues.

He urged the Palestinian people to avoid exhausting their energies in
unnecessary misunderstanding, and to focus instead on more important issues
that affect the entire Palestinian people's fate and future.

Haneyya stressed that his government had exerted tremendous efforts in
securing Arab and Muslim funds to relief the economically-besieged
Palestinian people. He paid tribute, in this respect, to the Swiss president
who deprecated the EU boycotting of the elected Palestinian people
government, and for expressing willingness to receive PA government
officials anytime.

Meanwhile, the 70,000-strong Palestinian communities in the Scandinavian
countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland) urged the EU, UN, and the
Norwegian foreign ministry to help the Palestinian people in retrieving its
legal rights, end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands, and
respect its democratically elected government.

The communities in a statement said that the EU and the UN in addition to
Oslo should pressure the Israeli occupation government to stop killing
Palestinian children, and to bow to the UN resolutions regarding the
Palestinian question.
