Thai gamblers flee back from Cambodia

More than 300 Thai gamblers in casinos in Cambodia yesterday scrurried
back to Thailand through a border checkpoint in Surin's Karb Cherng
district following a gunfight between Thai and Cambodian troops in
nieghbouring Si Sa Ket province.
More than 300 shops around the Chong Jom border checkpoint have closed
for security concern although the checkpoint has not been ordered
closed by Thai authorities, said chief customs official Phisai
Wongsiri.
