Group of artists and senators to oppose Cambodia's proposal to Unesco

A group of artists, senators and writers will petition Unesco on
Tuesday to stop it from accepting Cambodia's application for the
listing of Preah Vihear Temple as a World Heritage Site.
Senator MR Preeyananta Rangsit together with national artist, Naowarat
Pongpaiboon, Dr Chingchai and Khunying Jamnongsri Harnjaneluck will
visit the Unesco office in Bangkok to hand in the petition at 11am.
The document, signed by more than 300 supporters, implies that both
countries -- Thailand and Cambodia -- apply for the temple's listing
as World Heritage Site.
