Inviting Indian industries to invest in his country, visiting
Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Sen Saturday sought India's assistance
in Information Technology (IT) sector.

Delivering a key note address at a business luncheon meet in New
Delhi, jointly organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII), Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)
and ASSOCHAM, the Cambodian prime minister spoke of the open economy
of Cambodia and the vast scope for investment there.

Explaining how liberal is the Cambodian laws for foreign investments,
Hun Sen said that India is an exceptional friend and that India's
links with Cambodia go back to the third century.

Addressing the business tycoons attending the meeting, Indian Minister
of State for Communication and Information Technology Shakeel Ahmed
said there is vast scope for expansion of the economic cooperation
with Cambodia. Shakeel reiterated India's commitment to cooperation
between India and Cambodia in IT sector and promised to take it to a
new height.

The two countries would sign agreements, including one on defence
cooperation, soon after the two prime ministers finish their talks.
