Cambodian economy posts strong growth in 2006

The Cambodian economy once again enjoys a strong growth rate of 6.8
percent in 2006, thanks to the pour in of foreign aid and project
loans, the kingdom's major Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily said
Saturday.

The foreign aid and loans facilitated the burgeoning infrastructure
construction, said the paper while listing the top 10 economic and
financial news of Cambodia in 2006.

Besides, real estate, garment production and tourism also boom, which
used to constitute the three main pillars of the national economy, it
