Kem Veasna's Name is on The List to Vote For The Senate
Sothea Tith
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
19/12/2005
Opposition Sam Rainsy party (SRP) legislator from Prey Veng province,
Kem Veasna had his name taken off the party list in August 2005 because
he criticized the King contrary to the party internal order and the
constitutional law.
Until now, the National Assembly has not taken his name off the list.
At a hearing at the National Election Committee's (NEC) headquarter,
its president Mr. Im Suosdei rejects SRP's appeal and decides to let
Mr. Kem have the right to have his name on the list to vote for the
Senate.
