Hi Rit,
You are quite right. Of course silence is a response too and anyone
may freely choose to do so. Sometimes it can even be interpreted
meaningfully, like you say. But most of the time the discussion
wouldn't be a discussion anymore if bleeding to death due to the lack
of replies. I thought discussing main issues would be possible, but I
regret that it apparently isn't, for various reasons as I already
wrote earlier. Responses vary from answering something entirely
different from what the subject/question was, to low level flaming and
scolding, silent with regard to the subject. The scolding is only
worth to discard. If that level is representative for (communicating
with) the official bodies in Burma (SPDC, USDA) then there is not much
good in it. I had hoped for a harsh, but honest, open discussion on
various current (hot) topics, while respecting each other and each
other's opinions.
Kind regards,
James Russell Brownwood

Dear Mogyothwar,
Please reframe yourself from using earthy terms, somewhat.
Dear James,
In this free society, people response and reply several different
ways. In many circumstances, keeping silence is a way of response ( a
reply in your case ) and it is much more meaningful and sensible,
particularly one thinks that it is useless, unfruitful and waste of
precious time. No one can take this option as an advantage or losers
or winners. Some did not realize it until counter questions were
raised for them. It’s rather a, b,c of an ethical I mean basic human
interaction and reasoning. I hope you could understand it.
I do believe – we all have the right to remain silence! So do you!
Kind regards
.
