SPDC must supply the demands accordingly.

Myanmar Cracks Down on Protesters
AP via Yahoo! Asia News - Feb 23 9:20 AM

“ At least five protesters who took part in a rare demonstration that
urged Myanmar's ruling military junta to improve health care,
education and economic conditions.”

The news also said that they were taken into custody Friday.

This should be seen as the ligitimate demands of the people, not only
by the thirty on behalf of 54 million. These are not thirty comrades
but SPDC must supply their demands.

If the authorities (SPDC) care to make through interrogation to these
who highlighted the issues and if SPDC car e to /investigation what is
happenning in those secters , they may find out among other things the
following. The Minister of health and education should look into the
matters immediately and do what needs to be done. Authorities should
consider these 30 peoples’ demands are right demands for 54 million
people of Myanmar. They should not be washed away as purely as
politically motivated or political provocation by the opposition or
the authorities should not behave like “Htamin Yey Pu Lar Shar
Hllwe“., ignoring these matters as false.

SPDC is doing whatever possible regarding health care in Union of
Myanmar. “Min Bin Koung Hllet - Min Mhyaung Phyet ” Inefficient
public servants including doctors, nurses, teachers and business
people are the axe handles within the country They are causing the
problems for the government through the people.

There are two health care institutions in mYanmar that I understand.
One is the Government (a) the public (a) national health care and
another one is private health care run by private medical doctors and
share holders..

As far as national health care is concern there is another health care
institution which uses local medicines and method where possible with
local doctors. That is called Tain-yinn Myanmar Sey ( Bain - Daw ) or
herbal medicines. Like Chinese herbal medicine including acupuncture
which is becoming more and more popular in the western world.

In Myanmar most of the western medicine come from India and some
friendly neighbourly countries. Medicines from Japan and European
countries can also be found in Myanmar. Western medicines are very
expensive, majority people cannot afford it, not even majority of city
dwellers , town dwellers, let alone, peasants and farmers and ordinary
workers.

In Union of Myanmar like some of the western countries, anyone to see
the doctor and admission into the hospital , surgery and operations
may be free of charge in public hospitals but needed medicines have to
be bought by the patients at outside chemists or pharmacies..

In the private hospitals which are called private clinics, everything
have to be paid by the patients. Those who can afford are going to the
private clinic. People have a right to chose depends on what they can
afford.

The private clinics where western styled medical are running are
making a fortune out of other peoples’ miseries. In Myanmar saying “
Be Thu They They-Nga Tay Mar Yin Pyi Yaw” or “ I am alright Jack.”
Their priority is to make money, to get rich quick.

They may wrongly diagnose, they may prolong the suffering of the
patients, just to make more and more money out of them. In some cases
these clinics are passing the death sentences on the unfortunate
patients. Public have no right to sue them for their malpractice,
including their staff treating patients h=just like garbage.

These are the tips of the iceberg. If the authorities ignore them, the
authorities themselves will be responsible and as guilty as they are,
especially the Minister of Health.

Likewise in the education sector. Private schools are still not
allowed, but the so called ,“ the waings ” , private tuitions are
allowed and teachers are making fortune again forgetting what their
priorities are neglecting their pupils at schools. They may not be
teaching the whole text of any subjects, but four or five questions
and answers just to pass the examinations with distinctions

Private skill centres are everywhere where young people can learn
anything from motor mechanic to welders, electricians etc. Young
people from these centres are those who are leaving for works in
foreign lands, in ASEAN nations as well as Qater, Dubai in the middle
east.

How and who are exploiting these young people is the questions.
According to the information to get a job which pays from US$ 200 a
month these young people have to spend about US$ 1500 at least for
the brokers( agents ) . Parents have to sell their houses and
properties or take out loans from loan sharks with high interest
rate.

Nobody knows how much the agencies are getting from the
other( Employers) side Although this is ridicules or unbelievable,
this US$ 200 is a lot of money for the Myanmar young people. It is
also better than nothing for most of them. The jobs also require
Myanmar young women to do from nurses, nannies and house mates.
Recently some foreign shipping companies are recruiting Myanmar seaman
to serve on their oil tankers.

For most of them, to get out of Burma is their priority. “ Naung Khar
Lar Naung Zay “, the future is not theirs to see. Some came back with
nothing or with the loss. Hiding from friends as they are embrassed,
as if they are still in foreign land working. And from foes because
they can not pay back what they owe to them.

The demonstrators if they are geniu and if they really care for the
people they should also demonstrate against those who are making life
of these Myanmar people difficult, they should demonstrate against
those countries who are making the life of the Myanmar people hell.
They should demonstrate against those political parties inside Myanmar
who called for the economic sanctions against Union of Myanmar.

If SPDC crack down those protesters, it should also crack down the “
Taw Kyaungs “ the wild cats, who are making the life of the people
unbearable, using SPDC as a scape goat..
