I miss Okkar

Oh Where is Okkar?
For two weeks I just sneaked back into Burma ( legally of course) by
Thai and the first thing I saw at the airport was the entrance with
withering plywood paved for the passengers to reach the main gate.
The customs officers were very suspicious and greedy to get something
from home-coming fellow citizens. I did not know what took them so long
to bring our luggage from the plane, at an airport where hardly has 3
international flights a day.
I feel sad to learn on the plane some young boys who came back from
other countries are not happy to be home when the contract to work
outside is over. If possible they prefer to do "slave works" (
dirty, dangerous and difficult- with low pay) than to be home with
their family members to share their sorrows and woes in the land of
misrule and threats.
As I traveled the country, at many checkpoints I saw with ill humour
the signs; " we respect all, suspect all"before through checking-
here again you may go free if you put something in the hand of the
officer in charge.
I don't understand why the spare man of line-cars ( toyota pick-ups
turned into public taxi) have to throw down some banknotes at the feet
of the motor- vehicle police standing at his place of duty.
In Rangoon, no one was allowed to use motorcycle except some
government officers, but I saw one seller of two-digit lottery goes
freely on a motorbike.
Oh, how I missed Okkar to tell him the first hand experience (
otherwise he will say them to be rumour)!
From Burma I could not access this forum and I missed you all. Now I
am back but do not see Okkar. What has happened to him?
If someone by chance has killed him, please bring him back to life. I
have so many things to tell him.
