There is no Union of Burma. The real Union of Burma, according to
1947's constitution, was sacked by New Win. So there is no Union in
Burma. Although there was Union in Burma, Monland was not allowed to
be part of that Union because Burman treated Monland as occupation
territory. Independent Monland was occupied by Burman ruler Aung Ze
ya by killing more than 3,000 Mon monks and thousands of Mon innocents
women and children in 1757. After Burma's independence, after the
British and Japanese left Burma, Burman army rushed to occupy Monland
again. So Monland is still under occupation. This occupation is nothing
compared to British occupation of Burma. Current Burman SPDC's army
raped Mon women and used men, women, and children as forced labor.
They confiscated thousands acres of land from Mon farmers. They
destroyed Mon economy, culture, and ways of lives.

accussation, which often lead to be class as pure gossip. Is MRC-USA a

is danger for informant to reveal their names on the news. But if you

The price of rubber plantations in Mon State has been soaring because
people do not save money in the banks which they do not trust but
invest it in plantations, said a resident in Mudon Township.

The plantations which cost Kyat 20 million have gone up to Kyat 70
million because people in the villages prefer to buy landed property
rather than put the money in the banks, he added.

But some plantations which cost Kyat 100 million have not registered
such a rise because the residents cannot afford such a large amount.

The residents are also aware that it is risky to buy plantations
because it can be confiscated anytime. However, villagers said that
they still have the opportunity to earn some money from their landed
property before it is seized, he added.

The reason the plantations are becoming expensive is because migrant
workers can earn more money in foreign countries and send it to the
families to buy assets for their livelihood.

The increase in prices of plantations has been noticeable since last
March because the price of rubber in Thailand has been growing and
migrant workers can earn more money.
