I will give example:

The clothing style and song rhythm of all the songs are from western
music.....I usually download English songs.... and listen....No Burmese
real tune and rhythm....

Why the singers in Thingyan pwe wear like cowboy or cowgirl... or like
western hollywood stars????

Myanmar becomes more open to sex indulging.... It is against....Myanmar
tradition.... therefore... there are more AIDS..... Isn't it western
culture....Do you call it becoming modern.... Even in western
culture.... we don't call it modern.....

Singing Karaoke is not "westen culture" it was started by Japanese, and
even in west Karaoke is still verymuch of a "Asian thing". Actually,
Karaokey is a
modern thing.

Just because we sing Karaoke, we do not become "pro wesern culture" or
"pro Japanese culture". We just catch the modern trends and culture.
The modern culture is changing and it is not soely owned by west.

The west itself change and become modern too. Today west has comes a
long way from the west of 60 years ago. You can't expect Burma to stick
in 60 year old traditions for eternity to come. It is not fair. Just
like west, our culture too will become MODERN and no one can accuse us
of becoming WESTERN culture.

Is smoking cigarette a western thing? The tobacco was first smoked by
American Indians before westerners arrived, then the westerners hook on
the habit and spread it throught the world. So, when westerners smoke,
do they become "pro American Indians culture"?

Is the pop and rap music we are listening is a western thing? It is not
much similarity with classical western music. The pop and rap are more
similar to African beat and tunes than European.

You can't accuse us of becomming pro western culture, when westen
culture itself is changing to become modern.

Every culture change. Every living culture become modern. The culture
that does not change and can't adept to changes is a DEAD CULTURE.

Our Myanmar culture and traditions change because the our culture is
still alive.
