Your comment reminded me of an individual that I encountered on a bus
in Yangon years ago. He was wearing pretty thick thanaka and mumbling
under his breath to the ticket conductor in request for a free ride
claiming that he is an undercover intelligent officer on a mission. I
thought that was odd, if not funny, but left that out at the last
minute to avoid offending any party.

Any way, I don't recall many men, especially adults, wearing thanaka,
but as you can see in the links that you found, some boys in some parts
of the country obviously wear thanaka for one reason or another.

As for me, I have dry skin, so thanaka won't work for me. I normally
use Nivea.
