Derek's bet

Thanks for your interest in our affairs. I don't think you have some
commitments to give wrong advises to lead us away from democracy. But
your advise to bet our country's future is not a good one for us. You
can bet, but we can not afford to bet with our future. We cannot even
take fancy speculations and illusions let alone betting. We have
suffered a long time ago, so we want to make sure our country will have
good system and good leaders.

EU, US, ASEAN, UN, tried their best to approach and get in touch. Tried
to give right advise and showed the right way for the people. They
never miss opportunity to welcome good attitudes towards reform as I
remember. Solaze, Allbright, Yogota, Razzali, Pinhero, approaches
nicely and showed every dos and don'ts with no pressure at all. But
never showed its attitude to reform since 1988 till today. 2003 was
nothing special. EU is Still buying a lot of Burmese products. EU did
not have any effective sanction till now except very mild visa band.

We do not want any bad example for our future generation. We'd rather
wait for the best then to bet. Our country has lost many things, many
lives and many families. We shouldn't be corrupted and play the betting
games on their graves.
