For those arriving to US, I heard that nowadays, they don't get to live
in camps. Beside, it doesn't take long nowadays, maximum 7 months after
getting refugee status. Beside, because their mother is already in
Norway, they can get refugee status granted immediately and the
arrangement can be made IMMEDIATELY to reunite them with their mother.

Assuming that they have ids, in order for the children to get
passports, they would have to reach rangoon, and someone has to do the
paper work for them - obtaining Burmese passport is costly.
Best thing is to find out whether the border route would be more
practical. If they are further inside, i.e a bit away from the border,
as long as an adult can accompany them to the border, they can reach
them.
